Aspartame with Donald Rumsfield

I wanted to make a post pointing a finger at the dangers of Aspartame and the questionable data out of the FDA concerning food safety in general.

No need to do that thanks to natalina from Extrodinary Intelligence.com. She did a much better job than I would have done because she adds her personal struggle with this addictive sugar substitute.

Aspartame chemical close upIt's tough to admit the FDA dropped the ball here because then you have to ask yourself what else have they been incompetent about? I've never liked Aspartame, but I got a taste for the story behind the story once I started hearing how Donald Rumsfield pulled in political favors to get it pushed through the FDA.

In 1987 the U.S. Government Accountability Office concluded that the food additive approval process had been followed within the law, but several people still report being "cured" when they cut it out of their diet. In my opinion the controversy is complicated by the fact that most people can handle the product in normal amounts.

Sweet Misery the documentary DVD imageCori Brackett and J.T. Waldron made an informative documentary on the subject titled "Sweet Misery" which can be seen on Google video and Youtube or you can buy a copy at Amazon. I was impressed with the interviews with scientists and doctors and rational people who have suffered for years because they thought Aspartame was a safe product.

If you use Aspartame ask yourself "Do I feel 100 percent healthy and vital?" If the answer is anything less than 100 percent I recommend an experiment in the form of going without said product for 10 days. If you feel better after the experiment then replace that diet drink with some good old fashioned lemonaid or water.

Richard Grove photo montage

Richard Grove is an expert salesman who decided to become a whistleblower concerning a backdoor in the software he was selling that is allowing big companies to hide fraudulent practices and still remain compliant with the new Sarbanes-Oxley act of 2002.

Mr Grove tells his story in a documentary titled 20/20 Hindsight: Censorship on the Frontline. What you learn is that current whistleblower protection is a mere illusion and people like Richard Grove ultimately get punished for having the courage to do the right thing. This case also points out how broken and powerless the major news reporting agencies are when it comes to shining a light on something that will not increase their bottom line.

What's most impressive is how Richard Grove has transformed this experience into something refreshing and full of life with his website Tragedy and Hope.com. His work with the Trivium and critical thinking is nothing less than incredible and will be getting more of my attention in the immediate future.

 moon rising Jose

You can now watch Jose Escamilla's documentary "Moon Rising" for free at his Youtube channel which was my first exposure to his latest line of research.

It's a well done film that brings up several anomalies dealing with the moon and the official NASA story.

I'm not on board with his space elevator hypothesis, but sometimes to unravel a mystery it helps to throw several things against the wall to see if any of them stick.

Moon Rising is the most recent and well articulated statement on the mystery of what's really going on up there on the moon. Some of the photo analysis might seem to be reaching too far, but it feels like the film maker's motivation and intent are coming from a place of genuine investigation.
